Our Amazing Teachers

Instructors

Therése Aurén

Dance has always been a natural part of Therése’s life. She began with traditional folk dance and bugg, and later found her way to solo styles like ballet and jazz ballet.

In the summer of 2016, she discovered West Coast Swing – and was instantly hooked.

Since 2018, Therése has been teaching WCS in Gothenburg, and recently she has, together with friends, built a growing community in Borås. Her greatest motivation as an instructor is seeing others grow. For her, few things compare to witnessing someone have a true “aha moment” and gain a deeper understanding of the dance.

As a teacher, she is known for her clear and thoughtful instruction, her musical expression, and her ability to make everyone feel comfortable on the dance floor. With her warm personality and contagious enthusiasm, she makes every class both educational and fun.

Petter Fossheim

Petter discovered dance in 2016 when he began with Norwegian Folkswing. The following year, he tried West Coast Swing for the first time, but wasn't entirely convinced it was the dance for him.

Curious by nature, he continued exploring other styles like salsa, kizomba, bachata, boogie woogie, standard & latin and tango. It wasn’t until Norway Westie Fest in 2017 that he truly fell in love with West Coast Swing – and since then, WCS has felt like home.

Since 2019, he has been teaching West Coast Swing locally in Bergen, offering both weekly classes and weekend workshops.

Petter is known for his follower-focused approach and for leading with finesse. He plays with tempo and dynamics in his dance, creating a captivating and unique style. With his contagious enthusiasm for WCS, Petter brings Norwegian dance joy to both the classroom and the social floor.
